Episode 22. A key note address delivered by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (may Allah be his helper) on the occasion of the inauguration of the “Khilafat Centenary Hall,” built next to the Baitul Huda Mosque in Sydney on 18th October 2013. The event was attended by more than 200 dignitaries and guests, including a range of Federal and State Parliamentarians.

Series Five, Episode 9. Sunnah – Holy Prophet’s (saw) patience in adversity. Tune in to learn about the basic teachings of Islam. Tahir Selby is joined by Alex Borthwick to discuss the second source in Islam – Sunnah. We will be discussing the different aspects of the Life of the Holy Prophet (saw) from the book ’Life of Muhammad’ by Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Ahmad (ra), the Second Khalifa of Ahmadiyyat. In this programme they will discuss about the Holy Prophet (saw)’s patience in adversity, mutual co-operation, truthfulness, tolerance in religious matters, bravery and fulfilment of covenants. Also that the life of the Holy Prophet (saw) was an open book and some impressions of the book.

Episode 67. The Call to Prayer. Whether a faith requires daily, weekly or monthly worship, man has devised ways to draw our attention to God and to call the faithful to re-connect with our maker through prayer. In this programme, we will be going on a journey to find out some different customs from around the world, from the Jewish Shofar, to Church Bells, and also delving deeper into the most famous call to prayer of them all, that of Islam: the Adhan. What are the purpose and origins of this call, and what truths can we find in these words that are echoed millions of times around the world, every day?

Bait-ur-Raheem Mosque: A New Chapter For Wales Part 1. This two-part documentary tells the story of how the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Cardiff grew from a small, scattered group praying in homes and rented halls into the builders of Wales’ first purpose-built Ahmadiyya mosque. Through personal memories, historical context and behind-the-scenes insight, it follows their long journey—marked by sacrifice, community outreach and overcoming planning challenges—to finally establish a permanent house of worship. More than a building, the documentary shows the mosque as a hub of peace, service and dialogue, reflecting the community’s commitment to “Love for All, Hatred for None.

Episode 8. This episode examines the Battle of Uhud, where the Muslims first tasted victory but then suffered a painful setback due to disobedience. In the midst of hardship, the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ showed extraordinary patience and forgiveness, praying for his people even as he was injured. His companions, such as Hazrat Talha (may Allah be pleased with him), displayed unmatched sacrifice, shielding the Prophet ﷺ at the cost of their own lives and limbs. We also examine the historical context of how shariah has been manipulated and misunderstood. We finish off by discussing the separation of state and religion.

Episode 69. Theory of Knowledge. Part I. How Do We Know? The main question in Theory of Knowledge is “How do we know?” and thus we naturally spend some time talking about the nature of knowledge. In the first part of this series, we ask ourselves: What is knowledge? How does knowledge differ from belief? What is the difference between knowledge, information and wisdom? More importantly, what are the ways of knowing? In Theory of Knowledge, there are four ways of knowing, which we would like to explore here perception, language, reason and emotion. If we take any one thing that claim to know and we ask ourselves how we know it, we could potentially trace it back to one of these four sources: either we saw it, heard it or we read it, we reasoned through it or we have an instinctive feeling that it is true. Of course, none of these ways are infallible and are in many ways a double edged in that they can be a source and an obstacle to it. In the first of this series, we take a look at each of these knowledge tools and consider the extent to which they can be relied on to make sense of the world.
