What is the ‘Pathway to Peace’ show about?
The famous ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said, “If there is to be peace in the world, There must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, There must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, There must be peace between neighbours. If there is to be peace between neighbours, There must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, There must be peace in the heart.”
Tune in every Sunday between 7-8pm, where each week the Pathway to Peace team takes a look at a particular problem facing society and analyses it from different perspectives, eventually trying to find the best course of action that ensures a pathway to peace.
Establishing Peace: Lessons from 2021
In this episode of Pathway to Peace, the Presenters look back at the year of 2021, with the lens of establishing peace. They ask if 2021 brought us closer, or further away from peace, and what lessons can be learnt from the year that has just passed? Summarising key points from Pathway to Peace episodes in 2021, the presenters analyse topics such as divisions in society, protests, responses to the Covid pandemic, and the refugee crisis. Through this analysis they highlight the power of Islamic teachings on topics including consultation, obeying authorities, justice and equality, and Khilafat as a unifying force
