Episode 32. The Theme for this show is ‘World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace’. We shall be looking at teachings which provide the practical means of establishing peace by delving into the 9 fundamentals to establish everlasting peace that have been shared by the fifth califh of the head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in his book titled ‘World Crisis and Pathway to Peace’ which is a compilation of the speeches that he had delivered to world leaders. The first poem is a translation of a persian poem by the great poet Hafez Shirazi of the 14th century whose collected works are regarded by many Iranians as a pinnacle of Persian literature. His poem is about the recognition of the creator and titled ‘Footprints’ and is read very eloquently by brother Mobashar Khan from Aldershot in the UK. The second poem is titled ‘Pathway to Peace’ and is from the very talented poet sister Rizwana Aziz from Southwest London, and brings focus to a very important point in establishing peace which is the need to have Absolute Justice. The third poem is from the very wise intellectual words of sister Bushra Khan, a Physician from East Sussex, UK, with her poem titled: Global Family, and focuses on another vital ingredient in establishing global peace, and that is the need to have global unity among nations. Our fourth poem focuses on another aspect needed to attain global peace, and that is the need to reject extremism. and from sister Ruttab Noor from Canada with her beautiful poem titled: Pray for the World. Another vital component in establishing peace is the need for equality, including economic equity, and the next poem was written by one of America’s most notable contemporary poets, Maya Angelou, who captures an essence of inequality in a unique and profound manner. The poem is titled, ‘I know why the caged bird sings’, and is delightfully read by young sister Adan from Washington, USA. Eradicating poverty is also vital in establishing peace, and the next poem paints the grim reality which many children are faced with across the world. It is written by Francis Duggan and titled Poor Children, and superbly read by young brother Yusuf Ahmad. Another component of establishing peace is the need for nuclear disarmament and the elimination of weapon profiteering. The final poem highlights encapsulates the dire consequences of a nuclear bomb. This poem was written by Robert Ilson, titled ‘Going Splat’ and is being wonderfully read by young sister Miss Aroosa Akram from Slough UK.

Repeat of an Interactive show recorded on 25th February 2024. Synopsis: In this week’s episode of Pathway to Peace, we examine a topic that resonates deeply with the essence of Islam - Random Acts of Kindness. In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook the transformative power of a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word. However, Islam postively promotes the notion that these seemingly small acts can have a monumental impact on the lives of others, reflecting the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) who exemplified mercy and kindness in all his interactions. Throughout this episode, we will explore the Islamic perspective on random acts of kindness, drawing inspiration from the Quran and Ahadith. We will share heartwarming stories that highlight the beauty of kindness, discuss practical ways to incorporate it into our lives, and reflect on how these acts can serve as a powerful tool for spreading love and unity within society. Presenters: Sabiha Iqbal, Melissa Ahmedi and Aliya Sami.
