The divine incident of Miraj and Isra and its spiritual nature will be discussed highlighting the incident that took place during this spiritual journey that led to the ordainment of five daily prayers. The geopolitical situation of those times will be discussed at length including the prophecies of the Holy Prophet (saw).

In this show we will explore whether there is any solution that Islam has brought to help the elderly at both personal and state level.

Episode 5. Regularly described as the religion of peace, Islam provides many avenues through which Muslims are encouraged to move through the world promoting the values of harmony and unity. While we regularly hear about the teachings that inspire us to promote peace, what do we know about the people, specifically, the Muslim women, who have done so? Looking at the state of the current world, it seems even more important to understand how individuals have found ways to push for peace in their lives and communities. In this programme, we will be looking closely at how Muslim women define peace and how they have continued to conform to their roles as peacemakers throughout the history of Islam.

But though we’ve gained a revolutionary means of communication, the more negative side effects of social media are becoming more apparent as time goes on. As the cosmetic surgery industry is booming, as mental health is declining, as young people are amongst the loneliest in society, we at Faith in Focus ask: is social media crushing a whole generation’s self-esteem? And is our faith the elixir to restore our lost sense of self?

Season 4. Episode 3. We commence by discussing citizenship and its meaning; something many of us take for granted was not always given in history. We then discuss Islam’s understanding on citizenship starting with Hazrat Bilal (ra) and his emancipation. We also examine the lives of Najashi and Luqman, who were noble righteous individuals. We briefly examine Islam’s impact in Africa and then the trans-Atlantic slave trade. We focus on the erosion of complete civil liberties of slavery and Jim Crow laws. We examine the popular black thinkers in America and Africa, such as Du Bois, Blyden and Duse Ali, who aligned themselves to Islam that later Ahmadi missionaries would study.

Season 2 Episode 8. This episode explores the divine attribute Ar-Rafi; The Exalter. We discuss how Allah elevates whom He wills in rank, honour, and spiritual status, regardless of worldly position or power. Through stories from scripture and everyday examples, we reflect on how true elevation comes through humility, righteousness, and devotion to God rather than material success.

Episode 64. On the 31st of October 2021, the World Wide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his helper), addressed the Humanity First International Conference 2021. Humanity First is a non-political, non-religious and impartial international relief and development agency that focuses on protecting human life and dignity.
