Episode 70. On 19th October 2024 His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (May Allah be his helper), the 5th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community delivered a historic address marking 100 years since the foundation stone laying of the Fazl mosque, London’s first purpose built mosque.

Episode 14. "Join Dr Hasham Ahmad, a Medical Doctor and Researcher, exploring an introduction into the process of Embryology as described in the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran is a book of wisdom and was revealed in the 7th Century A.D. to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), with the commencement of the revelations during the blessed month of Ramadan. The Holy Quran is well known to contain knowledge and guidance pertaining to various specialities of life, both spiritual and of worldly nature. Embryology is the branch of science which studies the principles of pre-natal development of the gametes (sex cells), embryo and foetus. The degree of scientific accuracy within the Holy Quran, in relation to the topic of embryology, is explored and presented.

Series six Episode 1. Prophets of Allah mentioned in the Holy Qur’an – The Prophet Adam (a.s.). Tune in to learn about the basic teachings of Islam. Tahir Selby is joined by Farhan Ali to discuss about the prophets of Allah mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. We discuss the different views from the Holy Qur’an and Holy Bible, particularly about any allegations that has been raised concerning the prophet, as the Holy Qur’an views all the prophets of Allah as sinless. In this programme they will discuss about the Prophet Adam (a.s.).

Episode 8: The Islamic Renaissance: The Historic Journey of Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din  Mahmud Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih II, in 1924  In this episode, we delve into weeks six and seven of the historic tour of England by Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud  Ahmad, may Allah be pleased with him. The episode covers key events, engagements, and interactions during this period,  shedding light on the pivotal moments that defined his journey and the impact it had on the spread of Islam in the West.

Episode 93 Sleep Sleep is a vital indicator for health and wellbeing. We spend up to one thirds of our lives asleep. Sleep needs vary across ages and are especially impacted by lifestyle and health. In this programme we explore the purpose of sleep, the different sleep patterns, its cultural and historic variations and, the manifestations and treatments of some common sleep disorders. We discuss the relationship between sleep quality and religious wellbeing, the common beliefs held by some religions around sleep and whether religion can in fact cure insomnia.

Episode 45. On the evening of 30th September 2011, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Caliph, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad May Allah be his helper delivered the keynote address at a special reception held to mark the inauguration of the Bait-un-Nasr Mosque in Oslo Norway. The event was attended by dignitaries including mayors, politicians, local community leaders and members of the local community.

Episode 9. Humility – In light of Islamic Teachings. In Islam, the first stage of man’s spiritual development is that of humility. Islamic teachings help shun false pride by constantly reminding us of the transient nature of this world and our limited capabilities as humans.

Season 7 episode 5. Global governance part 1. In this episode we introduce and provide the background to global governance. We look to answer questions like when did this concept originate? What was the need for it? We will explore the concept of the League of Nations and its dissolution as well as the establishment of the United Nations and it success and failures. Finally we will look at the Islamic Principles on governance and give examples from the life of the Holy Prophet and Caliphs and advice and guidance from His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (atba).

Episode 41. Dr Mohammed Iqbal, the host of Living History, explores with fellow Panelists, Arif Ahmed and Prof Amir Sharif, the claim of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian to be the Promised Messiah and Mahdi. They also look at the founding of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and the re-introduction of Khilafat within Islam.The script is based on all approved material by senior Jamaat officials including Imam Sahib Ata ul Mujeeb Rashid that was prepared for documentaries to mark Khilafat Centenary celebrations in 2008.

Episode 30. The Learning Zone. We all strive, as females, to feel empowered. As women, we are strong, bold, courageous, and, most importantly, empowered. However, what is it that gives us this feeling of empowerment? It can be several things, including achievement, overcoming hardship; the list goes on and on. However, today I would like to focus on how academic achievements play a role in female empowerment. Let’s discuss the importance of an education in producing strong and empowered women.

The Inspirational segment commences with verses from the Holy Quran elaborating the Purpose of Life as well as recitation and explanation of poetry of the Promised Messiah peace be upon him related to the theme.

Episode 94 Eyes: Windows to the Soul A look at this fascinating organ that gives many the power of sight and the ability to see the beauties of creation, from a religious and medical point of view. Today we explore the different meanings associated with the eye in faith and culture including a brief look at the ‘Evil Eye’, as well as symbolism that surrounds the eye and what it means to see and believe.

Series 3 Episode 7. This episode will cover the future of transportation with a focus on vehicles. The episode will be broadly about the electrification of vehicles. In terms of electrification, the motivation behind this will be discussed. The targets and challenges for achieving this transition towards electric vehicles will be discussed. Batteries, electric motors and related technology will be discussed. Fuel cells and the hydrogen economy will be discussed. In the concluding section, the prophecies of the Holy Prophet (saw) will be presented and the verse of the Holy Qur’an about the future of transportation will be presented.

Episode 16. Our guest today is Dr Shakeel Ahmad, a Consultant Psychiatrist, who has over 20 years of working in different sub-specialties of adult psychiatry. During this time, he has also served in senior operational roles including Clinical Director for General Adult Psychiatry in Surrey, UK and as Chair of London Division, Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. Dr Shakeel Ahmad has also been one of the contributors to WHO Guide on Mental Health to Primary Care, UK. He had an early interest in philosophy and development of human mind; as an undergraduate he co-founded an organisation to promote creative thinking amongst the youth through self-discipline. He has also been involved with research projects on the Holy Quran, within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and is a regular contributor to the Voice of Islam UK radio. We discuss the development of the Human Mind, Cognition and Thought. We explore Mental Health including Anxiety & Depression, and what we can learn from Islam regarding the Mental & Spiritual progression of our minds.

Conferred the honourable duty to provide both physical and spiritual nourishment to their families, women are recognised in Islam as having the distinct capacity to strengthen society’s prosperity. In a world beset with inequities in food security and distribution, we also explore the guidance Islam offers on this issue. We will additionally reflect on recent research on how Muslim women and their household management was affected by COVID-19. There will be discussion on physical and economic access to vital resources such as food, with this linked to the principles of equity and sustainability embedded in Islam. What role can women play in enacting these principles, within and beyond their homes?
