Episode 202. Muslim Women Today Since its inception 100 years ago, Lajna Ima’illah has presented a powerful example of how Islam continues to inspire the empowerment of Muslim women around the world. It does so, by taking the blessed role models of those before us. One such is that of Hadhrat Ayesha (May Allah be pleased with her), who we will discuss as we speak on how at its centenary, this auxiliary organisation is a true manifestation of the freedoms and equality Islam endows on women.

Echoes of Valour Join us as we explore the remarkable bravery and sacrifices of the female warriors during the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him). Figures such as Hadhrat Umme Ammaarah not only provided critical support on the battlefield but also engaged directly in combat to protect him as well as their faith. As we face new challenges in the digital age, we draw inspiration from these historical examples and discuss how the legacy of these female warriors can empower contemporary women to uphold and spread their faith in today's interconnected world.

Episode 4. As per WHO estimate, 1.13 billion people worldwide have high blood pressure or hypertension. Almost all of them known as essential or primary hypertension. This an entirely a treatable condition. Unfortunately, a vast majority of the hypertensive patients are undertreated, and a significant number of people are unaware that they have high blood pressure. In this episode, we discuss the importance of health check and how to monitor blood pressure at home. We also highlighted the complications of untreated hypertension.

Episode 204. Fear Of Missing Out Our society is filled with wonderous attractions which sadly engender widespread waves of anxiety and complexes. Islamic history is lit with examples of pursuit of knowledge, and discoveries which set the narrative for generations that followed and set foundations of what the modern world is built on. Fast forward to now, where we see a decline in our impact on society, where we see what is labelled as ‘FOMO-’ Fear Of Missing Out. Coined and observed on social media, FOMO is a phenomenon society must address. As young Muslims growing up in a fast-changing western culture how can we use our core beliefs to maintain a ‘presence’ while connected to our faith and spirituality?

Episode 39. Hijab: A Mode of Worship Along with all of Islam's teachings towards men and women, the veil helps to create the peaceful society that the religion nurtures. The hijab has several layers of wisdom and blessings. It may not give complete protection against evil, but it can alter the wearer's tenacity in the same way that prayer has a greater impact on our inner states rather than just our outside circumstances. Since human nature is immutable, the laws that must govern our discipline should likewise be based on tried-and-true basic ideas. Man's nature being immutable, the need to shed this outer layer of modesty does not exist, even so, some see the hijab as an outdated ritual.
